Our first real night eating 'outside' since we've been here! One of our favourite things to do is to have our dinner in the cockpit (after the daily toasting of the sunset!), but it's been too darn cold. Tonight we pulled out one of the fancy, non-sailing regulation striped awnings I made and put it up. (As an aside, there definitely seems to be a very specific dress code for boats. A very specific set of nautical colors, all plain, no prints or stripes. A certain lack of creativity here, I think) What a great place to have dinner! Besides virtually eliminating the wind, it was like having dinner in an Arabian nights tent. Add in a huge moon and all those stars - fantastic!
