After Matt arrived safe and sound from his transatlantic flight, 2 hour car trip in the dark through the Florida Keys and then a dingy ride to the boat, also in the dark, we let him have a rest before heading out on the next adventure. But promptly at 7ish the next morning, we tossed him out of bed, fed him, and pushed him back into the dingy for a trip down to Key West. Actually it took us a bit longer to get going than that, but we were on the road by 10:00.
Matt wanted his Cheeseburger in Paradise and Steve wasn't complaining about having a second one so after a leisurely stroll down Duval Street (with frequent shopping stops which Jess and I enjoyed), we went back to Margaretaville for lunch. As before, it was very nice and Matt was introduced to Jimmy Buffet music - which he says is okay for holiday music (he is always very polite). As he was so polite about it, we made him listen to Jimmy Buffet for the rest of the day!
Back at the boat in time to toast the sunset with Pina Coladas (going to have to work on that recipe, we're not quite there yet) and a barbeque. Welcome to Snowbird, Matt!
